Technical Description

The Vivitek DW351 uses a single-chip 0.65-inch DLP projection system with a UHP lamp. Its native WXGA resolution is 1280 × 800, with a widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio. The projector delivers up to 4,500 lumens and a full on/off contrast ratio of 30,000:1. It supports a fixed lens with a 1.3× zoom ratio and a throw ratio of approximately 1.187–1.544:1. These specifications help users calculate installation distance and image size before setting up a room.

The DW351 can project an image up to approximately 300 inches diagonally, but the usable image size depends on throw distance, screen, content, and ambient light. Vertical keystone correction can help square the image when the projector is not level with the screen. It does not replace careful placement for best image geometry and focus.

For connections, the official specification lists two HDMI 1.4a ports, VGA input and output, composite video, mini-jack audio input and output, RS-232, and a USB Type-A port for 5V/1.5A power. The built-in 10W speaker can support basic playback; external audio may be preferable for larger rooms. Lamp life is listed as 4,000 hours in Normal mode, 5,000 hours in Eco mode, and up to 15,000 hours in Long Eco mode.

Usage and Applications

• Classrooms and training rooms: Display lessons, slides, and educational video.
• Office meeting rooms: Present spreadsheets, proposals, reports, and presentations.
• Seminars and workshops: Project training materials for groups.
• Home entertainment: Display compatible films, streaming devices, and video sources.
• Small event spaces: Show announcements, images, or presentation content, subject to room lighting and screen setup.
• Temporary presentation locations: Carry and set up the projector where HDMI or VGA display is needed.

Benefits of the Vivitek DW351

The DW351 combines bright output, WXGA widescreen resolution, and flexible connectivity in a compact projector. Its zoom lens and keystone correction help with practical room setup, while HDMI and VGA connections support common presentation sources. Eco lamp modes can extend the intervals between lamp replacements. Together, these features make it suitable for organizations that need a projector for regular presentations and shared use.
