The Matica ILM-LS/ILM-DS is a high-speed, inline lamination module designed to enhance card issuance workflows by adding durable and tamper-resistant overlays directly after card printing. The LS version supports single-sided lamination, while the DS version supports dual-sided lamination.
By integrating with Matica XID printers (such as the XID8300 or XID8600), this module enables seamless one-pass personalization and lamination workflows — ideal for secure credentials like employee badges, access cards, driver licences, national ID cards, event credentials and more. The lamination uses heat-sealing film that can be plain (clear) for durability or holographic (with security elements) for anti-forgery protection.
With lamination speeds of as fast as ~16 seconds per card (single-sided, ILM-LS) and ~30 seconds per card (dual-sided, ILM-DS), this module gives premium efficiency without sacrificing quality.
✅ Key Features
High-speed lamination: ~16 s per card for single-sided (LS), ~30 s for dual-sided (DS).
Supports both clear over-laminate (for durability) and holographic laminate (for security visual security elements - VSEs).
Seamless integration with Matica XID series printers (XID8300, XID8600) via joining plate & communication interface, enabling in-line lamination after printing.
Compact module footprint and flexible configuration: ILM-LS for single-side, ILM-DS for dual-side lamination.
Security features: Kensington lock, key-lock for module access, secure film cassettes.
Adjustable lamination parameters: speed, temperature (90 °C-180 °C), film types tailored to card materials (ABS, PET, PVC, PC) for extended card life.
✅ Why Buy This Product
Durability & lifespan: Laminated cards resist wear, UV, moisture and tampering far better than un-laminated ones. For credentials expected to last 5-10 years (e.g., national ID, drivers licences), lamination is almost essential.
Security upgrade: By combining holographic film and lamination you gain a strong counter-forgery layer — making it suitable for high-security issuance (government, access control, membership programmes).
Workflow efficiency: Inline lamination avoids manual post-processing or external lamination steps — meaning cards come out ready (print → encode → laminate → stack) in one run. This reduces errors, handling time and operational cost.
Scalability & flexibility: You can start with single-sided lamination (ILM-LS) and upgrade to dual-sided (ILM-DS) as needs grow; or combine with encoding modules and retransfer printers for full issuance systems.
Material compatibility: Works with high-durability card stocks (PVC, PET, PC) and thicker cards, so you’re not limited to basic cards — useful in environments where wear, ID-card longevity or special materials matter.
Space-efficient: The module attaches to existing printer setup (XID series) rather than requiring separate lamination station — good for space-constrained office/branch setups, including markets like Dhaka/Bangladesh.
